Dignity Film Finance

Dignity Film Finance is a financing and production company working in both the UK and USA. Started in 2011, the company has financed and produced a wide-ranging slate of feature films, including 2016’s BROTHERHOOD, which took a record breaking £4 million at the UK box office.

In 2017, Dignity saw the release of DOUBLE DATE, FERRARI: RACE TO IMMORTALITY and KALEIDOSCOPE in the Autumn period. Plus, the year saw the completion of four directorial feature debuts, with Tom Cullen, Jessica Hynes, Dolly Wells and Rachel Hirons. The quartet all shot and wrapped within the latter half of the year on PINK WALL, THE FIGHT, GOOD POSTURE and A GUIDE TO SECOND DATE SEX, respectively. Additional films with Jamie Adams (WILD HONEY PIE! and BITTERSWEET SYMPHONY) also completed shooting, and WILD HONEY PIE! debuted with its World Premiere in Austin where it was selected as part of the 2018 SXSW film programme.

2018 has seen the UK acquisition of Oliver Parker’s SWIMMING WITH MEN, which was released by Vertigo Films on the 6th July. The comedy stars Rob Brydon, Adeel Akhtar, Jim Carter, Daniel Mays, Thomas Turgoose, Rupert Graves, Charlotte Riley and Jane Horrocks.

2018 will also see the wide international releases of 10X10 starring Luke Evans and Kelly Reilly, New Orleans-set crime drama OUT OF BLUE, directed by Carol Morley and starring Patricia Clarkson, James Caan, Jacki Weaver and Toby Jones, and ALRIGHT NOW – Jamie Adams’ Cobie Smulders starring comedy drama.

Dignity Film Finance is currently in pre-production with feature BALANCE, NOT SYMMETRYAn exciting new partnership with Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro will see the film inspired by, and accompanied exclusively to, the bands new material and will mark the companies fifth collaboration with Jamie Adams as director.

Earlier this year Dignity announced its partnership with New Sparta Productions, the companies will work together on a separate slate of feature films which include espionage thriller NEITHER CONFIRM NOR DENY, a co-production with Scott Free Films.

Maggie Monteith, Producer

Maggie first started her career in film working across the media and marketing of Warner Bros Films in the UK and Europe while working at Grey Entertainment and Media. Moving to Columbia TriStar UK and Ireland, she oversaw the marketing for films such as Men In Black, Mask Of Zorro, Godzilla, and her personal favourite, Matilda.

Promoted to work at Columbia TriStar in US Domestic, she moved to California, and enjoyed working on films such as Charlie’s Angels, Spider-man and Stuart Little. Her studio-marketing career culminated in working for Lucasfilm on marketing, promotions, media and publicity worldwide for Episode II of Star Wars.

Over the next few years Maggie worked in the start-up of Participant Media, and as a consultant to banks and hedge funds for Gerson Lehrman. It was at this time that she decided to move into film financing.

Since 2009 Maggie has been part of the financing for numerous feature films as a Producer, including 13, The Experiment, Brotherhood, Kaleidoscope, Double Date, 3 Way Junction and Pin Cushion. 2017 saw the production of a number of feature films which include; 10×10 starring Luke Evans and Kelly Reilly, Alright Now featuring Cobie Smulders and Jessica Hynes, A Guide To Second Date Sex written and directed by exciting British talent Rachel Hirons, Carol Morley’s Out Of Blue a New Orleans-set crime drama featuring an all star cast helmed by Patricia Clarkson, Dolly Well’s Brooklyn set directorial debut Good Posture starring Emily Mortimer and Grace Van Patten and Pink Wall, ‘Weekend’ star Tom Cullen’s directorial debut featuring Tatiana Maslany and Jay Duplass.

In addition, Maggie has been part of the financing and production of four documentaries under her Documentary Company banner, including the Oscar winning Searching For Sugarman, The Green Prince and the Lovers And The Despot and Ferrari documentary, Race To Immortality.

Maggie is currently in pre-production with her next feature Balance, Not Symmetry. An exciting new partnership with Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro sees the film inspired by and accompanied exclusively to the bands new material and will mark Maggie’s fifth collaboration with Jamie Adams as director. Before production starts Maggie will be heading to 2018’s Toronto International Film Festival where Out of Blue will have its World Premiere.
